Coronavirus (COVID-19)

If you are planning on travelling distance to attractions, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly in advance to avoid disappointment.

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.

RSPB St Bees Head Reserve

Blow away the cobwebs with a bracing walk along the cliff top path, and you can see across to the Isle of Man on a clear day. In spring and summer, you'll want to stop at our three viewpoints to marvel at the largest seabird colony in north-west England. Guillemots, kittiwakes, fulmars and razorbills wheel noisily overhead, while ravens and peregrines are often seen soaring along the cliffs. Offshore, you can also see skuas and shearwaters and if you are lucky you may spot dolphins and porpoises.
Open at all times.
Free, but donations to help us continue our work here are welcome.
Dogs are only allowed on public footpaths and bridleways
